5:00 p.m. Curatorial guided tour in the exhibition
Curatorial guided tour in the exhibition The Tactless Photojournalist: Lajos Erdélyi’s Archive from the Ceaușescu Era with Zsuzsa Zádori and Lenke Szilágyi. The exhibition presents, for the first time, a comprehensive overview of the hitherto little-known work of Transylvanian photojournalist, journalist, and savior of archives Lajos Erdélyi. It evokes the raw reality of Ceaușescu’s Romania through the lens of an artist who managed to document his time with an autonomous vision—even within the confines of official mandates.

7:00 p.m. The Archival Lives of Photographs
Our current exhibition, The Tactless Photojournalist: Lajos Erdélyi’s Archive from the Ceaușescu Era, was preceded by the archival processing of Lajos Erdélyi's photographic legacy. Among others, Zsuzsa Zádori, Head of the Audiovisual Department of the Archivum and one of the curators of the exhibition, will offer insight into this processing work. Join us for an exclusive studio tour, and hold in your hands and learn about 20th-century photography, film, and sound recording equipment. How do 8mm analog film cameras, tape recorders, slide projectors, U-matic and BetaSP video cassettes, and dictaphones work? Discover the now exotic accessories of our pre-digital world.

9:00 p.m. The Goldberger House - House Tour
A unique opportunity to explore an industrial heritage building that houses an archive, exhibition space, and cultural center. We open our underground storage areas to the public, offering a glimpse into where we preserve background materials from the Radio Free Europe Research Institute, along with other Cold War and human rights collections.

The event will be held in Hungarian.

Participation is free, but registration is necessary on the Researchers' Night program page.
