The Unknowns (film screening)
Hungarian documentary, 52 min, 2005
director: János Gulyás, composer: Tibor Grei, cinematographer: János Gulyás

The Inconnu group attracted attention in the late 1980s with their actions and performances—including that of the police. The artists’ group, which promoted freedom, printed samizdat, made posters and even had its own newspaper, which sharply confronted the hypocrisy of the Kádár regime. Most of their political actions were led by György Krassó.

The screening will include a part of János Gulyás' three-part documentary on the Inconnu group, followed by a discussion with the director.

The program will be held in Hungarian.
