City Walk ‘89
Guided City Walk for Students about the Regime Change
In 1989, the system was changed not only in backrooms but also on the streets, in demonstrations that recalled the 1848 and 1956 revolutions. The protesters visited these revolutions’ sites, repeated their slogans, and displayed their symbols. Why was history so important then?
During the city walk, we explore the history of the change of regime and what ‘48 and ‘56 meant in ‘89.
The recommended duration of the walk is 90 minutes.
Participation is free. Registration is ongoing.
