Finissage event of the exhibition “Some kind of Opposition” by Axel Braun, with a concert and award ceremony for young composers.

The Vera and Donald Blinken Open Society Archives invited young composers to enter the music competition based on the exhibition, Some Kind of Opposition… by Axel Braun. The selected scores will be performed in the framework of the concert entitled, Some Music, Something Else. The concert will be the closing event of the exhibition.

Composers under 30 were invited to apply with scores that had previously not been performed. The selection was made by a professional, three-member jury (Miklós Csemiczky, Gyula Fekete, Gergely Madaras). The winning scores from the competition will be performed live during the concert by talented young musicians from the Academy of Music.

6:30 p.m. Introduction by Katalin Székely, Blinken OSA Archivum
The composers, the members of the jury, and the project will be presented by Géza Madaras, Intermezzo Foundation.
The entries will be evaluated by Miklós Csemiczky.

6:50 p.m. Ádám Krasz, Music for Flute and Electronics
7:00 p.m. Jonatán Zámbó, Wassermusik / cello
7:10 p.m. Benedek Sulyok, Sounds on the Boarder / clarinet
7:20 p.m. Prize Giving Ceremony
The prizes will be awarded by Miklós Csemiczky and Botond Andacs

7:30 p.m. Marcell Bencsik, Damn it! / B-clarinet
7:40 p.m. Nico Namoradze, Eau / cello and electronics
7:50 p.m. Viktor Molnár, No Name / F-horn and two violins
8:05 p.m. Kristóf Siklósi, Five Moving Landscapes / string quintet
