Ukrainian photographer Marta Syrko’s series “Soldier Sculptures” is an artistic record of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine. The exhibition will be introduced by a roundtable discussion entitled “Quo Vadis Ukraine? Two Years of War and Perspectives for the Future.”

Ukrainian photographer Marta Syrko’s series Soldier Sculptures is an artistic record of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Through sensitive depictions of vulnerable bodies and the human stories behind the wounds, she sheds light on the resilience and strength of soldiers, while encouraging viewers to reflect on their own perceptions of loss and how it shapes their understanding of the world. The series was on view for a short time at the Három Hét Galéria as part of the Budapest Photo Festival. Organized by the Embassy of Ukraine in Hungary and Blinken OSA Archivum, the material is now on view again at the Galeria Centralis from April 18 to May 26.

The exhibition will be introduced by a roundtable discussion entitled Quo Vadis Ukraine? Two Years of War and Perspectives for the Future
