Instead of reading and touching books, come to read and touch the library!

As the planned redesign of the Central European University Library is under way, OSA Archivum has created an exhibition-laboratory where the scholarly library and its future can be investigated, both intellectually and sensually, as a space, infrastructure, information nexus and learning environment.

OSA’s Galeria Centralis offers the experience of a classical and cyber library, recreated to highlight the architectural challenges posed by the dynamic interactions between analog and digital.

If you are addicted to libraries as localized, special and spatial environments, and to seeking information in more idiosyncratic ways, if you have sensed the library and would like a more immersive experience, Bibliotheca allows you the opportunity to engage with the library in an experimental manner.

Take the time to read the whole library as if it were a book: its spine, front cover, pages and virtual promises.

Guided tours of the exhibition are offered at 5:00 pm on Wednesday, May 22, and at 11:00 am on Thursday, May 23.

The guided tours are in English.
