Blinken OSA is organizing a creative student program accompanying the exhibition “The Symbols of Socialist Art”, which aims to explore the symbols of socialism, their political and artistic applications and what they mean for new generations.

We are surrounded by symbols everywhere we look, be it sports, the media, politics or the arts. Every generation uses inherited symbols and also creates new ones. Guided by museum educators, students will map the symbols of socialist art, learn about their use in contemporary politics and art, as well as examine the metamorphoses of these symbols over generations. Interactive games and creative challenges will encourage students to explore critical perspectives.

The sessions are led by:
László Hemrik, museum educator
Rita Dabi-Farkas, visual artist
Viktória Salgó, museum educator
Henrietta Szira, visual artist
