Researchers’ Night 2026
Curatorial Guided Tour of the exhibition “On Peace Square – The Peace Group for Dialogue”, as part of Researchers’ Night 2026.
Opened on June 18, 2026, in the Archivum’s Galeria Centralis, this exhibition presents the history of the Independent Dialogue Peace Group, a unique grassroots initiative in 1980s Hungary. Organized in cooperation with the Historical Archives of the Hungarian State Security, the exhibition explores how young Hungarian peace activists attempted to create an independent movement, separate both from the state apparatus and from the democratic opposition.
The guided tour will be led by the exhibition’s curators; Zoltán Viszket, researcher at the Historical Archives of the Hungarian State Security; and Miklós Zsámboki, Community Archivist at the Blinken OSA Archivum.
The program will be held in Hungarian.
Following the guided tour, at 6 p.m., the second event in the Evenings on Peace Square series will feature a roundtable discussion with Melinda Kassai, Dániel Mikecz, and Mária Vásárhelyi, moderated by Zsolt Enyedi.
The exhibition On Peace Square – The Peace Group for Dialogue is open free of charge through October 25, 2026 at the Blinken OSA Archivum’s Centrális Gallery.
